About

Laura Ortega

Pianist & Neuromusicologist

ESMUC graduateMusic neuroscienceApplied researchFlamenco · Classical

A graduate of the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC), my training as a pianist and neuromusicologist has allowed me to develop a distinctive approach to teaching piano: one that combines technical rigour with a deep understanding of how we learn and process music.

I don't believe in quick formulas or shortcuts. I believe in conscious work, in building a solid foundation, and in absolute respect for each student's intelligence. This programme is the result of years of research and practice, designed for people seeking a genuine relationship with the piano.

Every session takes place on a Kawai GX-2 concert grand piano. Because the sound you produce from day one shapes the ear you will develop.

A programme for committed students

People with curiosity and artistic sensitivity who want to grow at the piano

This programme is for you if:

  • You've always wanted to play the piano and feel the time is now
  • You already play, but your technique is holding you back and you want to break through
  • You want to understand the music you play, not just repeat movements
  • You're looking for someone who takes your progress as seriously as you do
